Norton 360 reviews problems

I haven't had any more issues with hackers hacking my devices. I work with 3 different non-profits currently and do consulting and contract work occasionally with others in the Atlanta and Kansas City Metro areas, including other cities infrequently. Having the use of Norton's service helps my team and I have VPN access and protects our vital client files, agency forms, grant statistics, and other important documents key to our work and continued growth.

I have been using Norton for quite a few years and I have always enjoyed their customer service. When I have system problems, not only do they help with Norton products, they help me with my whole system and they are detailed with no rush to end the call, they are more helpful than the company I have my software warranted with.

They go above and beyond what's necessary and I always told them so, they are the best. NORTON is supposed to keep your personal information safe, but for the last 5 years they have been auto-renewing an account and sending emails to an email address that is not associated with the owner of the credit card. I have used Norton for years.

Many times I have been on decent safe and secure websites and Norton will redflag the site. I believe Norton provides its users with inaccurate information.

Its algorithm will redflag anything it can just to scare you into purchasing more protection. I know this because it redflags sites I have built myself. Through Godaddy and Square. Two of the nations top companies to build websites on. That is misinformation and dishonesty at its finest. If you can't trust Norton to provide accurate information on sites, how the heck is it really protecting you?

It's not. Not to mention all the marketing scams Norton runs. Upsell, upsell, upsell. Once you purchase Norton, more scammers will pretend to be Norton to scam you, then Norton will ever have to protect you from.

Let that sink in. Wonder how the scammers know you just bought Norton. Selling data? I have had Norton security for my computer for a number of years. They are good. However when I need to cancel they tell that as the payment on the renewal was made 87 days ago I am outside the cancellation period. Now remember the the renewal date for the service did not start until I told Mikhil I would like to speak to a supervisor.

He put me on hold, came back and said he will transfer. It will take two minutes and I am still on hold half hour later and still waiting as I write this. I've had to delete the vault and recreate it 5 times because it will not accept a password when I try to re-log into it, so I've had to constantly re-create a log-in and rebuild the vault.

The product is crap!!! Do not buy it! I purchased a Chromebook through Verizon and was looking for an antivirus before I would be using it. Since Black Friday was coming up, I received an email from Norton advertising their software with deep discounts for the first year.

I decided to purchase the Norton deluxe because I felt it had what I needed to feel secure on the internet. I made the purchase through Paypal and attempted to download the software to my Chromebook. I received a notification that the software was not compatible with Chromebook so I tried to contact their support team for a refund.

There are few more familiar names in information security than Norton and LifeLock. Long known for their competitive antivirus protection and ability to adapt to an ever-changing security industry, a virtual private network from NortonLifeLock sounds promising at the outset. But with limited server options and a few dealbreaker security issues, it's clear that the Norton Secure VPN still has some work to do before it can meet the high standards set by its sibling security products.

Norton Secure VPN still has to to develop its security and server network. I'd recommend holding out before signing up to this service. In the meantime, check out our list of the best VPN services of Read more : How we review VPNs. Norton doesn't publicly post its server count on its website, but at last count there were 1, servers. I ran my speed tests over the course of three days, in two locations, using both wireless and Ethernet connections -- one location offered slower broadband speeds, and the other offered higher speeds via fiber-optic internet.

Internet speeds in the US vary widely by state and provider. And with any speed test, results are going to rely on your local infrastructure, with hyperfast internet service yielding higher test speed results. That's one reason I'm more interested in testing the amount of speed lost which for most VPNs is typically half or more across both high-speed and slower connection types, and in using tools like speedtest.

Unlike many other VPNs, Norton doesn't allow you to choose the city you connect to -- only the country. Norton's Hong Kong servers dragged down overall speed scores, averaging just 6Mbps. So if you're looking for a VPN to use while traveling in China, you may want to consider a different option. Australian servers performed marginally better, averaging around 50Mbps. Great product. Excessive ads even with a Deluxe subscription. I purchased Norton Deluxe with Lifelock a little over a year ago. As far as it's protection, it is a great product. Though I do have a big issue with their service, this is their constant ads. I turned off my popups in windows so it stops notifying me but that is an annoyance on a paid product to be loaded with ads.

Now they want me to use my computer's idle time for money. Well if they just had 1 banner ad and then let me close out that, it woul Show More d be fine. Nope, now when I open up Norton to look at it there is a giant banner on top causing me to scroll through to get the the services I need.

Why not make this closeable? Again, I am paying for this, enough with the ads. Guess what? Again with ads Again, I should be able to close this, there is a service behind this and I cannot access it because this ad is blocking it. Literally blocking the product I have paid for. They have seriously blocked me from using a paid product by a stack of 6 ads for other services I might want. I buy antivirus for the obvious protection. I run a small business and I need my stuff secure, I need financials safe, I need to know that my customer's information is safe, I need to be able to communicate safely and reliably with customers so my phone and computer must have protection so I don't lose everything.

I completely understand Norton having better options, having other services available to me if needed. They are a great product and have ways to make it better. What I think they should do instead of keeping constant banners and ads and popups is have a selectable option Need Something Else? Hell, having 1 banner or ad pop up roughly once a month that had a little "x" on it which I could close to not see again would be fine.

That is what other services do. But this constant annoyance has brought me here, to knock their otherwise great product, because I feel if enough people know and share their negative experience Norton will hopefully change this to something a little less undesirable. I have literally wasted 30 minutes because of my annoyance, thank you Norton.

I initially posted this elsewhere, just wanted to expand potential views of my post. VERY Unethical company. If I could give them NO stars I would. Had heard so many great things about Norton thought I'd give it a try. Installed the free trial they offered. It would not work. Could not get it to even open. Kept getting messages that it could not "connect". Uninstalled and re-installed it after making sure all remnants of previous install was removed. Sat on phone NO ONE answered.

No response to multiple emails. Finally removed it from my system. Show More has expired. My email address had to come from Norton. It was an email that I seldom used and then ONLY for personal correspondence with three 3 family members. To this day the only consistent spam email I get at that email address is regarding Norton.

Makes me believe this company, that brags about how secure our personal information entrusted to them, is selling our email address. Would never trust them again. Will never allow them near any personal information again Denis Desautels J.

I too, had a very bad experience with Norton with LifeLock. The first problem is that you have to manually turn the VPN on. This is ridiculous. Second problem is you cannot change your phone number.

They have to cancel your ac Show More count and create a new one for you. When they create your new account you have to give them a new email. Most people don't have multiple email accounts. I ended up getting a refund. How can anyone expect them to protect you when they can't do simple things. Norton is a joke.
